InfoPath Forms not working (Rendering) in My Custom Master Page in SharePoint 2010

Recently i have created a master page based on the StarterMaster page giving in the Codeplex/Msdn. But i got a problem that InfoPath forms are not working in the master page i created. By analyzing the  V4.master page i found that Body tag Java Script is different. <body onload="javascript:if (typeof(_spBodyOnLoadWrapper) != 'undefined') _spBodyOnLoadWrapper();">

How to set Current User Name to InfoPath Person/Group Picker

This method also use for get User Profile Information such as First Name , Last Name , Office and etc. In generally we can not set a default value to InfoPath Person/Group Picker. On the other hand we can not get Current Username in the InfoPath. (Yeh it is true that we can use userName() function. But this will return the Current User Account ID not the name). So we want to use SharePoint user profile services to do this. First we need to  create a user profile connection. Thus First go to Manage connection and click add connection. Then go to receive data option and SOAP Web service and specify the User Profile Service URL . The URL will be something like ( http://sever/sites/site/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx ). This is depends on your site or site collection. if it is a site collection you can omit /sites/site/ part from your URL. then proceed to next , select UserProfileByName and un select the Automatically load. Now you have created the connection....

Authentication Error in InfoPath Form services in SharePoint 2010

Following errors occurred to me when InfoPath form services trying to access user profile service. my profile connections are stored in a udx file. The following query failed: User Profile (User: domain\user, Form Name: Template, IP: , Connection Target: http://server/sites/capex/DataConnectionsLibrary/userprofile.udcx , Request: http://server/sites/capex/SitePages/Home.aspx , Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:list:-AutoGen-2011-02-21T05:15:34:497Z Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.  Server was unable to process request. ---> Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation. The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.) in here first i looked for cross site reference issue ( here ). but it is not the problem. then i found running Application Pool set to Anonymous Access true. Then i disabled the anonymous access and it worked for me.

InfoPath Repeating Rows Selection Issue/Problem

I had a problem with selecting InfoPath repeating rows for applying a condition. Therefore for i used following mechanism to correctly select the current row.  Here is my scenario, I’m writing a formula for fld_CorpStatus by accessing field fld_corpOff . but i should access the same row data in the run time. there for i used following xpath expression to access the fld_corpOff. current()/../fld_corpOff Explanation :- we are getting the current (fld_CorpStatus)  and then go to it’s parent (CorpOfficeGroup) the access the fld_corpOff

InfoPath adjust connection do not work properly.

Normally in the we are developing InfoPath in a test server and published it in to the production server. when we are going to publish in to the different server InfoPath asked to change the connection files accordingly.  But sometimes when we are changing the publish location it is giving wrong URL’s for the connections. thus you can manually change the connection URL properties in the InfoPath manifest files. but please be careful of what you are doing. Howe to Change InfoPath Manifest manually   Export Info path as source files. change the manifest and save it. Tips: InfoPath data connections are stored in the section <xsf:dataObjects> You can change the urls by using site collection, baseurl  , relaliveurl attributes. Open manifest as design. save it again as xsn.

MetaInformationByUrl:CrossSite check failed for site URL= …. and file URL=: … .xsn

  This error you can find in the SharePoint LOG with relevant to Correlation ID.    .This error is happened to me when i tried to content deployment to a Production server. In the SharePoint Server side following errors may come due to this error. The form you are attempting to open may be located on a different server. This form can only be opened using Microsoft InfoPath. The form has been closed. The InfoPath form template for the selected content type cannot be loaded. These errors can be solved using changing the following settings. this error generates because Form Server XSN refers separate form server template in a  separate server.   To change this Go to SharePoint designer and navigate to content types and click administration page. then go to advanced settings. In here it will show the Form Template URL. Check It is relevant URL if not change it.

How to Hide InfoPath Control Programmatically c#

To hide the InfoPath control we can simply create a variable and format the control accordingly.   If you want to hide the control programmatically, set the variable value. then InfoPath will render the control accordingly. XPathNodeIterator NodeIterator = nav.Select("/my:myFields/my:MainSection/my:BidDocument", NamespaceManager); nav.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:isPicVisible",NamespaceManager).SetValue("True"); Above code will display the control. Following code will hide the control nav.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:isPicVisible", NamespaceManager).SetValue("False");

How to cancel SharePoint server deployment

This can be also used to cancel InfoPath Form template deployment using this command you can stop the deployment of InfoPath form template to a server. not only that basically you can stop any deployment to the SharePoint server using this command set. In here i count find the power shell command to do this. but you can still do it by using stsadm in the SharePoint 2010. First step is to find the current running deployments. for that C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>stsa dm -o enumdeploymets Then it will show running deployments. After that finding relevant template and get it is ID and run following command. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>stsa dm -o canceldeployment -id 3478e091-aeed-48db-8366-e2d2fe267e87 Still it is not working may be the admin services are not running then type the following code. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN>...
